September has arrived.
Today was a sad day. We had to have Fidget put to sleep. He's had a tumor in his tummy for a long while now but the last few days its gotten really bad. He had no flesh left on his bones but a huge tummy. Ma had a really hard time making the decision, especially since he was still so sweet. But it had to be done. So we took him to the ASPCA. They were SO wonderful there. What kind people. The lady at the desk was the one who made the appt with ma this morning so she was expecting us. We said our goodbyes. He had to go in a carrier. Mama broke down and cried and so did I. Meg came with us as moral support and I was so glad she did. When the lady came back she gave us tissues and offered us water. She kinda half hugged Mama. She said she hates this part of her job but she knows how its sometimes necessary so the animals don't have to suffer. The she took us back to the room where his body was and Mama and I said our goodbyes. The whole time the lady helped make sure Mama was ok walking and talked kindly and gently. All in all for a bad situation it was a handled so kindly.
In other news Mike and Holly arrived today with Gramma Lo in tow! I was so excited to see her. I didn't realise how much I've missed her. Poor dear got all teary eyed when she saw us. I love her SO much. So it'll be nice to have Mom and Dad 'home' again and to have her here for awhile.
Our new London Bridge cong is doing well. We've had 2 weeks of meetings so far. I miss several friends but I also enjoy having our smaller cong. Getting to know some of the friends better. We had to split. We had around 160 pubs. We feel Jehovah's blessing. Its such a joy.
Well off to bed...love to all.
